Mirage 28 Designed by David Feltham, designer of Cobra/Seawolf class yachts, ‘Sesenta’ is a comfortable cruising yacht which sails well, has a lovely nearly new and economical diesel engine, a strong hull with epoxy below the waterline and a shiny gel coat above, and is in good condition.
The present owner spent most of last season living aboard and finds the accommodation very comfortable (in spite of being 6’2”). Generally there were two people on board, and frequently four. There is good headroom, the bunks are comfortable and a good length, and the forepeak is easy to get in and out of. The loo area has good headroom and elbow room, as does the wash area. The quarter berth is light and spacious. The boat sails very well, being stable, with a surprising windward ability. The bilge keels with the rudder mounted on a strong skeg allow her to take the ground for inspection or a mid-season scrub, and avoid the expense and inconvenience of a storage cradle. The owner has begun a programme of refurbishment and improvement, but due to a sudden change in personal circumstances unfortunately has to put the vessel up for sale. At a glance:
