RYA Marine Diesel Engines

This is a course in preventative maintenance and problem solving. The course aims to teach students the skills necessary to restart a stopped engine at sea and also the routine diesel engine maintenance tasks that keep your engine in top condition reducing the chance of a breakdown. The course is part classroom based and part hands-on, giving as full an understanding as possible to the students. The course runs from 0900 - 1700 approximately.

• Cooling system
• Air systems
• Diesel engine electrical systems
• Spares and tool requirements
• Winterisation and servicing
• Fault finding
