Saltram Saga Double Ended Cutter

A boat that draws a lot of attention in the yard this well-built double ended cutter has only had two owners from new in 1986. This boat has a Lloyd's hull certificate, and was built by Saltram Developments Ltd, and then fitted out by it's first and only other owner. Currently rigged as a sloop using the traditional genoa, conversion back to cutter rig merely requires re-placement of the inner forestay and staysail halyard. With plenty of headroom the boat will sleep 4 in comfort.

Sails and Rig: Currently rigged as a sloop using the traditional genoa, conversion back to cutter rig merely requires re-placement of the inner forestay and staysail halyard. Stainless standing rigging. Mainsail reefing - slab "in boom" Selden single line system. Headsail reefing - Pro-furl.  Yankee jib sail 2003 good condition. Staksail  good condition. Mainsail - Cruisader cruising quality 8oz 2005 good condition. Furling triradial laminate genoa Owen Sails good condition. Cruising Chute 2005 good condition. Multi-purpose lightweight genoa 2005 good condition. SL Hyspeed winches.

Propulsion: Watermota Sea Panther 30hp 4 cylinders. 1289 engine hours. Cruising speed 4.5kn, max speed 5kn. Hurth gearbox. Morse controls. 14 x 12 3 blade prop. 26 gallon diesel tank.

Electrics/Electronics: 2 x 12v batteries. All interior lighting. Sail and steaming lights. Silva Steering Compass (2008) XM DSC Radio (2004) Nasa Clipper Echosounder. Garmin 128 GPS (2006) Navico TP300 Autopilot

Galley: Flavel Vanessa cooker - 2 burners, oven and grill. Manual water to sink from 2 tanks, one 13 gallon, one 30 gallon.

Other: Interior wood Brazilian mahogany. Davits for outboard. Lavac heads. 6 foot headroom. 25lb CQR anchor with 30' of 3/8" chain & 45m of 20mm multiplait nylon rope. 15kg spade anchor with 140' of 3/8" calibrated chainspliced to 90' of rope. Taylors Diesel cabin heating. 2 x henderson bilge pumps. Hull epoxied from new.

Extras: Avon redstart dinghy. Honda 2hp 4 stroke outboard.2 fire extinguishers. Flares. Steel cradle.
