Aquastar 33 Oceanranger

"Iolaire" is a boat familiar to FBC, as we have carried out a number of maintenance tasks on her in the past 2 years. We consider this boat to be in good order throughout, with well laid out, spacious accommodation and plenty of power from the two 200hp Volvo Penta engines. This comfortable family cruiser with a semi-displacement hull is more than capable of tackling longer voyages around the west coast.

Details

Propulsion: 2 x Volvo Penta TAMD41B 200hp marine diesel inboards. 6 cylinder engines with approx 1900 hours. Consumption 35 lph. Cruiseing speed 10 knots, top speed 17.5 knots. Both engines regularly maintained, and port engine had major overhaul summer 2009. Trim tabs fully renovated in 2008. Two 19" x 17" props (3 blade). 2 x 900 litre fuel tanks.

Electrics/Electronics: 12v & 24v. 4 batteries with 2 isolator switches. Shore power. Mains powered battery chargers. Cobra VHF. Simrad VHF. 2 x Garmin echosounders. Furuno radar. 2 x Navman GPS. 2 x Raymarine log. Trim tab guages. Interior and exterior lighting.

Galley: Gas cooker with 2 burners, oven and grill. Freezer. Fridge (new 2008). 400 litre steel fresh water tank. Pressurised water to taps, and calorifier & immersion heating.

Other: Eberspacher cabin heating. 2 heads with new sea toilets 2008/09, handbasins and showers. Good headroom and well laid out cabins. 2 electric and 1 manual bilge pumps. Simpson Lawrence anchor windlass. Davits. Boarding ladder.

Extras: Bruce type anchor with 20m chain and 30m rope. 2 boathooks. Boat cover. Ample warps and fenders. 4 fire extinguishers. Flares. Avon liferaft (serviced 2009)
