OWNERS REMARKS This incredibly sea-kindly yacht is priced to sell. My Rival 32 "Ocean Sunrise" and I have been together for 18 years, with lots of adventures cruising extensively the seas around the Westcountry, Bristol channel, Irish Sea, Yorkshire coast, and more recently the Moray Firth in Scotland, having logged around 8,000nm over the years. She currently resides afloat in Inverness. She is in first class condition throughout, is very well maintained and carries all the inventory needed for extended cruising. Life changes mean I have to part with a much loved and trusted friend, so she needs a nice new owner to continue her adventures with! I have replaced the cabin upholstery last year, and upgraded the cushions to a very comfy 6" thick furniture-quality foam, and replaced the mattress in the fore-cabin to an 8" thick permanent mattress (no sleepless nights on MY boat!). The Rival 32 is well known for being a very strong, capable, seaworthy and sea-kindly cruising boat. Like her sisters, Ocean Sunrise has a lovely gentle motion at sea, and doesn't 'slam' into the waves as do most modern craft, but cuts through the seas. The very wide, un-cluttered side-decks make working on deck when at sea safe and easy. This boat is well suited to both the relative newcomer to sailing, and the seasoned 'old salt'. Many Rivals have been used as blue-water boats, and many have crossed oceans and circumnavigated the globe. Ocean Sunrise is no project - she is modernised and updated, and ready for sea in all aspects, though I have to confess that the fresh water tank is absent. The last one (a flexible type) decided to empty its contents into the bilge last season, and I have yet to get round to replacing it! The new owner will have to endure an emotional farewell from me when "Sunny" and I finally go our separate ways.
Please note the owner of Ocean Sunrise may also consider a part exchange for a smaller boat.
